Cross-border work, handled on both sides
Residential status, income that arises in India, treaty relief under the India–UAE agreement, and the certificates that stop tax being over-deducted at source. Where a UAE entity is involved, the firm handles the Indian side of the structure alongside the incorporation itself.
- Residential status, first How many days you were in India decides what India can tax. It is settled before anything is filed.
- Treaty relief where it applies A double taxation avoidance agreement can reduce or remove a second charge on the same income, against a tax residency certificate.
- Certificates before the deduction A certificate under Section 197, applied for in Form 13, fixes a lower or nil rate of TDS rather than leaving you to claim a refund later.
- Repatriation, documented Remittances out of India are supported by the Form 15CA and 15CB certification the bank will ask for.
